The Map of Africa is a viewpoint in Wilderness Heights, South Africa, famous for its panoramic vista of the Kaaimans River valley. From your spot in the Air, you can see the river’s winding course, which has naturally carved a distinct, uncanny resemblance to the shape of the African continent.
Our popular paragliding launch site is located just next to the main viewpoint.

We will demonstrate the paragliding basics of launch, flight and landing procedures.

Premium Tandem Flight

R2200+R300 GoPro Video & Photos

Up to 20 minutes for the more adventurous.
Weight range from as little as 20kg – 120kg.

This is a longer flight and weather permitting you will have the chance to take the controls yourself.
The instructor will guide you on the basics of controlling a paraglider safely.

The flight duration depends on the weather of the day.

Cost: From R2200 per person

Preflight Checklist

Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking so that we can sign you up and give you a flight briefing.
Wear comfortable clothes with closed shoes or trainers.
Bring a warm top as it sometimes gets chilly in the skies.
You may wear glasses as the safety helmet will hold them tightly!

  Unser Sohn wollte im Urlaub unbedingt einen Tandemflug machen, wir sind auf Empfehlung eines Bekannten bei Pete und Sue gelandet. Am ersten Tag war zu viel Wind und daher kein Flug möglich. Natürlich im ersten Moment etwas enttäuschend, aber das spricht natürlich für das Unternehmen - Sicherheit geht hier vor Profit. Einen Tag später hatte unser Sohn einen perfekten Flug mit Sue.   This was my first time paragliding, so I didn't know what to expect. It was absolutely awesome. Not at all scary, very gentle, so quiet and peaceful. Sue and Pete are great people. Sue was the best pilot a first timer could ask for, so gentle and respectful to me and what I was experiencing. Thankyou again Sue, for such a special gift.  Verified Baptême de parapente à Sedgefield Vol réservé la veille pour les 11 ans de ma fille ! Équipe dynamique et rassurante. Ma fille s’est éclatée avec Sue au dessus de Sedgefield.
